Materials & durability
Lightweight materials. Replaceable parts.

Reinforced nylon components and quick-release connections make the airframe easier to work on.

Impact-tolerant materials and replaceable parts help keep your aircraft ready for the next flight.

A lightweight carbon-fiber backbone supports the wing mechanism and flight components.

Transport & storage
A custom EPP carry case keeps the aircraft, controller and flight essentials together — from storage to your flying spot.

Setup & ownership
BUILT-IN RECEIVER
ELRS 2.4 GHzSerial receiver · Receiver firmware 3.6.4
Yes, with a compatible setup. EAGLE X has an ExpressLRS 2.4 GHz serial receiver running firmware 3.6.4. Your radio needs a compatible ELRS 2.4 GHz internal or external transmitter module; being a 2.4 GHz radio alone is not enough.
Send ESD your radio model, module model and ELRS firmware version so we can help check compatibility.
The transmitter module and receiver need the same major firmware version. For the supplied 3.6.4 receiver, use compatible 3.x transmitter-module firmware. For example, 3.4.2 and 3.6.4 share a major version; 4.0.1 and 3.6.4 do not.
Follow the appropriate binding procedure for your hardware. Ask ESD if you are unsure.
The mapping is AETR: CH1 Aileron, CH2 Elevator, CH3 Throttle, CH4 Rudder. EAGLE X uses the first three channels.
Following ESD guidance, check the bare fuselage with wings and tail removed. Start with throttle at its minimum and keep hands clear of moving parts. Confirm each stick’s output and aircraft response. Reverse the corresponding channel in the transmitter if required, then check again.
Disconnect the battery before fitting the wings and tail. If the correct response is unclear, contact ESD before flying.
Choose Mode 1 (right-hand throttle) or Mode 2 (left-hand throttle) when ordering. You can also change the stick mode yourself later, following the transmitter manufacturer’s instructions.
Changing modes can involve physical stick adjustments as well as transmitter settings. After any change, confirm AETR channel mapping and control direction before flying. Ask an experienced technician if needed.
Stabilized flight mode supports learning, but flying still takes practice. New pilots should get help from an experienced RC pilot and begin with basic maneuvers in a clear, open area.
Use the ESD high-performance custom battery. The standard pack is 850 mAh. Ask ESD before fitting another battery: weight, balance and electrical specifications matter, not just capacity.
Blade-free means there are no spinning propellers. The wings, moving mechanism and aircraft can still cause injury. Keep spectators, children and pets clear of the launch area and flight path. Children need adult supervision.
